A small, old-school Forest Service campground at 9,000 feet on the Pingree Park road — and, with Jacks Gulch closed for rebuilding, the only campground still open on the entire Pingree Park corridor. Expect it to fill.
About 10 sites (the district conditions table says 12 — the official sources disagree), first-come, first-served — no reservations. $19 per night, typically open May 15 – November 15.
There is no drinking water here — bring your own. Vault toilets, picnic tables and a fire grate at each site. It’s an older facility with short spurs (about 20 feet) that will not accommodate larger RVs.
Stage 2 fire restrictions are in effect (USFS Order #02-10-05-26-09, July 2 – Dec 31, 2026). Campfires and charcoal are prohibited — including in developed campgrounds. Camp stoves with an on/off valve are still allowed. Check current restrictions before you go.
Nearby: the South Fork of the Cache la Poudre, with the Emmaline Lake / Mummy Pass (#945) and Stormy Peaks (#980) trailheads close at hand.
Getting there: CR 63E about 17 miles — roughly 53 miles from Fort Collins.
