A quiet nine-site campground at 8,660 feet on the north side of Highway 14 in the upper Poudre Canyon, tucked between Joe Wright Creek and the Cache la Poudre.
9 sites, first-come, first-served. $23 per night (discounted 25% when the water is shut off). Typically open May 22 – September 27. Potable water, vault toilets, and a tent pad, fire grate and picnic table at each site. Spurs to about 30 feet.
Stage 2 fire restrictions are in effect (USFS Order #02-10-05-26-09, July 2 – Dec 31, 2026). Campfires and charcoal are prohibited — including in developed campgrounds. Camp stoves with an on/off valve are still allowed. Check current restrictions before you go.
Nearby: the Blue Lake Trailhead (#959) is right here — though the Forest Service notes the trail “was heavily burned during the 2020 Cameron Peak Fire.”
