Comanche Peak View Campground

Comanche Peak View is a free dispersed camping area in Roosevelt National Forest, reached by about eight miles of dirt road out of Red Feather Lakes. The Forest Service keeps it primitive — scattered first-come, first-served sites with fire rings, no water and no restrooms — and the rutted road goes easier with high clearance. Big boulders, meadow views and dark skies, with trail access nearby.
