Beaver Meadows Stables

Beaver Meadows Stables runs private guided horseback rides out of Red Feather Lakes, with more than 20 miles of Roosevelt National Forest trail right out the gate. Rides start around an hour and a half and run longer into the high country, with river crossings on the bigger loops. Groups ride on their own — no mixing with strangers — and horses are matched to the rider, so first-timers and kids are welcome alongside experienced riders. They also board horses.
