For the true minimalists and boondockers, the forest service roads off Manhattan offer incredible off-the-grid dispersed camping. There are about 16-25 sites total along Deadman’s Road & Manhattan Road. There are no vault toilets or water hookups here, just you, the Roosevelt National Forest, and a deeply authentic wilderness experience. Please remember to pack out all trash and respect local fire bans!
