A far-flung 28-site campground at 8,440 feet out along the Laramie River, about as far from a crowd as you can get and still have a picnic table.
First-come, first-served, $22 per night, 8 people per site, typically open June 12 – November 15. There is no drinking water — bring your own. Vault toilets, picnic tables, tent pad and fire grate. Spurs around 30 feet.
Stage 2 fire restrictions are in effect (USFS Order #02-10-05-26-09, July 2 – Dec 31, 2026). Campfires and charcoal are prohibited — including in developed campgrounds. Camp stoves with an on/off valve are still allowed. Check current restrictions before you go.
Getting there: north on CR 103 (Laramie River Road) about 15 miles, then west on CR 80C about 2 miles. Jinks Creek runs alongside, and the Rawah Wilderness is close.
Not to be confused with Browns Park in northwest Utah — a completely different place that dominates search results.
