Frog Pond

Frog Pond isn’t a business — it’s a small backcountry pond and the Frog Pond Trail (#973) in the Roosevelt National Forest just outside Red Feather Lakes. The roughly three-mile trail runs from Dowdy Lake through pine forest, meadows and rock outcrops to a five-way junction with the Mount Margaret and East Dowdy trails. It’s used for hiking, mountain biking and trail running, and for snowshoeing or skiing in winter. Cattle graze the area, so expect gates.
